- $50.00/hour
- Overtime: $75.00/hour
- Weekly Gross: $2,200.00
Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Medical Social Worker (MSW) to provide per diem support at Memorial Hospital of Gardena and other Pipeline Health facilities. The MSW will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to assess psychosocial needs, coordinate resources, and support patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop care plans
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and emotional support
- Assist with discharge planning and community resource coordination
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and ancillary staff
- Advocate for patients and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Credentials & Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
- Active California Social Work License (LCSW or ASW, per facility acceptance)
- BLS (AHA) – current
- Previous acute care or hospital social work experience preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and assessment skills
